Shortlisted teams for Finale

We're thrilled to announce the shortlist of teams and individuals who have qualified for Level 3 of the hackathon based on their performance on the Private Leaderboard and the Qualitative scoring in Level 2.

Overview

This year's edition of the Shell.ai Hackathon for Sustainable and Affordable Energy brought together brilliant minds passionate about digital solutions and AI, to tackle real energy challenges and help build a lower-carbon world where everyone can access and afford energy.

The Fleet Decarbonization Challenge saw 5366 registrations in total for the Shell.ai Hackathon 2024, including 3035 for the General Edition, 398 for the Start-up Edition, and 1,933 for the University Edition.

Level 2 Format

In this level, you will need to submit your prototype, based on your solution by August 4, 11:50 PM IST. The link to the Prototype submission will be available on this website after you register for Level 2.

Your Prototypes will be evaluated by the judging panel comprised of experts from Shell who will select top finalists for all editions. Please refer to the Evaluation Criteria section for details on the judging parameters.

Level 2 evaluation criteria

The final scores are Level 1 and Level 2 scores combined.

Level 2: Rules

Your team members for Level 2 need to be the same as for Level 1.  

• Level 2 of the hackathon will start on July 8, 2024, at 12:00 AM IST. The deadline for submissions of the Prototype on Hackerearth will end on August 4, 2024, at 11:55 PM IST. No submissions will be accepted after the deadline.
• The prototype can be submitted only once. The submitted pitch will be considered as your final  submission for Level 2.  
• Level 2 is compulsory for all participants across editions to be qualified for Level 3 and obtain certificates. 
• The intellectual property of your code belongs only to your team.

Level 3 format

Top finalists pitch their solution live during Changemakers of Tomorrow at Bangalore. The winners will  be announced during the event.

Level 3 rules: 

• You must register for Level 3 participation by 16th August, 11:50 PM IST by 
• Participation in Level 3 is dependent on the top finalists confirming their readiness to be present  at Changemakers of Tomorrow event at Shell Technology Centre in Bangalore on 9th September  (in person, or virtually in case they cannot travel for compelling reasons). 
• The top shortlisted teams will pitch their solutions live in front of the judging panel comprised of  experts, business stakeholders and leaders form Shell and partnering companies, during  Changemakers of Tomorrow event in Bangalore. 
• The winners will be announced during the Shell.ai Awards ceremony as part of Changemakers of Tomorrow. 

Visa arrangement and its costs are the responsibility of the participants.
